IN GRAIN – Limited Collaboration
2026年10月11日、Numata(DESIGN+ART)Museumにて開催される特別トークエキシビション 「IN GRAIN」を記念し、限定コラボレーションアイテムを制作しました。
フィンランドを代表するテキスタイルデザイナー、Johanna Gullichsen（ヨハンナ・グリクセン）のテキスタイルを用い、Numata(DESIGN+ART)Museumと平林奈緒美氏の監修によって、
バッグとポーチを特別に仕立てています。
今回のアイテムは、「IN GRAIN」のために制作された完全別注のコラボレーションプロダクト
です。
通常のラインナップにはない特別仕様のカラーベルト、今回のためにデザインされたスクエアポーチ、そしてJohanna Gullichsen × Numata(DESIGN+ART)Museumの特別なタグ。細部に至るまで、本企画のためだけにデザインされています。
Johanna Gullichsenは、Artek創業者の一人であるMaire Gullichsenの孫としても知られ、フィンランドのデザイン文化を背景に、伝統的なテキスタイルの技法と現代的な感性を融合させた独自の表現を続けています。
「IN GRAIN」では、Alvar Aaltoの家具を通して、フィンランドのデザイン、その背景にある素材や時間、そして世代を越えて受け継がれていく価値について見つめます。
今回のコラボレーションは、その世界観を日常の中へ持ち帰るためのもの。
家具からテキスタイルへ、ミュージアムから日々の暮らしへ。
フィンランドのデザインと素材の魅力を、身近なかたちで感じていただける特別なコレクションです。
JOHANNA GULLICHSEN - Career History
Johanna Gullichsen was born in Somero, a small town in south-western Finland, situated between Helsinki and Turku. After studying art history, literature and languages at the University of Helsinki, she learnt the art of weaving at the crafts school in the historic town of Porvoo. She began her career as a textile designer in 1986 and founded the brand ‘Johanna Gullichsen’ in 1989 with the aim of creating textiles that blend traditional Nordic craftsmanship with contemporary design. Focusing primarily on original fabrics, she creates a wide range of items, including bags and interior design products. In 2021, she was awarded the Kaj Franck Design Prize. Ahead of the 30th anniversary of the Normandie collection in 2027, she is energetically pursuing planning activities based on original ideas to pioneer new value in textiles.
ヨハンナ・グリクセン- 経歴
ヘルシンキとトゥルクのあいだに位置するフィンランド南西の小さな街、ソメロで誕生。ヘルシンキ大学にて美術史、文学、語学を専攻したのち、古都ポルヴォーの工芸学校で織り技術を習得。
1986年よりテキスタイルデザイナーとして活動を開始し、伝統的な北欧手工芸と現代デザインの融合をかけあわせたテキスタイルを追求すべく1989年にブランド「Johanna Gullichsen」を創立。
オリジナルファブリックを中心に、バッグやインテリア製品など幅広いアイテムを手がけている。2021年カイ・フランク・デザイン賞を受賞。2027年ノルマンディ・コレクション30周年に向け、
テキスタイルの新たな価値を切り拓くため、独自の発想で精力的に企画活動を進行している。
